MONEY ADVICE UNIT

Wakefield District has funding to employ several debt specialists: three Legal Services Franchise caseworkers specifically for people on benefit or very low income and another four caseworkers (funded by the BERR) targeting people from areas of high deprivation.

They provide specialist advice and some lay advocacy at the county court. Appointments to see them can be made by contacting any of the main information centres.
