Travelling from the M62
1. Leave the M62 at Junction 32.
2. Follow the signs for Pontefract (A639)
3. Follow the road and straight through the traffic lights.
4. Carry straight on over the bridge
5. Take the first turn on your right. (Halfpenny Lane)
6. The Yorkshire Coalfield Resource Centre ‘Thornycroft’ is located
on your right approximately 200 metres along Halfpenny Lane.
Travelling from the A1
1. Leave the A1 at the Pontefract/Knottingley junction (A645).
2. Follow the signs for Pontefract (approximately 2 miles).
3. Continue straight through Pontefract until you reach the ‘Town End’
junction (You will see Asda). Take the right hand lane and follow the signs
for Castleford (right turn).
4. Continue along this road (Jubilee Way) until you reach a pelican crossing.
5. Turn left immediately following the pelican crossing into Halfpenny Lane.
6. The Yorkshire Coalfield Resource Centre ‘Thornycroft’ is located
on your right approximately 200 metres along Halfpenny Lane.
Car Parking is at the rear of the building entrance at the front of the building.
